Twin infants die after Val Verde birth in 1960s note
Deaths of twins born to Mr. and Mrs. Victor Lechuga in Val Verde Memorial Hospital. One infant died Friday and its graveside service was held Saturday at Oak Lawn Memorial Park under Humphreys- Doran Funeral Home. The other infant died in San Antonio after transfer. Del Rio man jailed on aggravated robbery charge
Encarnacion Guajardo, 30, remained in Val Verde County Jail on a $15,000 bond after being charged with aggravated robbery of La Casita Drive-In Grocery in Del Rio. Mansfield man dies in head on crash near Del Rio
Refugio Rodriguez a 29 year old construction worker from Mansfield died at the scene when his southbound car crossed the centerline and struck a truck tractor pulling a tank trailer driven by Victoriano Gonzalez 44 of Carrizo Springs near U S Highway 277 about 2 45 a m Saturday. Gonzalez was treated for lacerations and reported in good condition at Val Verde Memorial Hospital. Rodriguez body was taken to Don's Funeral Chapels in Del Rio.
