Del Rio considers tax hike as public hearing set
Del Rio City Council votes 5-2 to raise the city property tax rate to .50555 per $100 valuation from .4700. A public hearing on Aug 31 will invite citizen comments. The higher rate is expected to raise about $261,439 in FY 2004-05 to cover projected general costs.
