Power Hour reading program to aid CISD students

Weekend rains bring minor flooding in Del Rio
Del Rio saw no major housing problems as weekend storms produced showers from Friday night through Sunday. The National Weather Service forecasts more rain midweek with decreasing chances by Friday through Sunday. Totals logged 3.06 inches across the period, with Del Rio receiving .72 inches Friday, 1.47 inches Saturday, and .87 inches Sunday.

Pecan Tree Limb Falls Onto Val Verde County Courthouse Lawn
Barricades lined the lawn Sunday as a large pecan tree limb toppled during a Friday night thunderstorm. County Commissioner Lewis Owens said the branch fell near the Val Verde County Court house and debris was cleared Monday morning.
