Seven Air Force Personnel Jailed in Marijuana Raid
Seven Air Force personnel were arrested during a Tuesday raid outside Laughlin Air Force Base. Deputies found about 42 bags containing roughly one ounce of marijuana each, drug paraphernalia, pills, powders and syringes in trailer four at Amistad Mobile Homes. The seven, named Thornton Ham Bergen Karpoff Swinson Teeters Johnson, faced felony possession charges and were held on $5,000 bonds.

Two thefts and two burglaries over the past two days netted Del Rio thieves more than 700 dollars. A resident found his pants pocket slashed and contents missing after a break in Tuesday night. Melvin Starr reported tool theft from Amistad Beverage Co. worth 485 dollars around 9 30 a m Monday. Mrs S P Baker said a car battery was stolen Monday while the car was parked outside her home at 201 8th Street. Maria Vasquez of 408 Pulliam reported hubcaps stolen from her vehicle sometime Sunday night.
