Prisoner Reposa barricades jail cell and fires attempts

Flood Relief Red Cross Accepting Gifts in Del Rio
Val Verde Chapter of the American Red Cross in Del Rio accepts contributions to aid flood victims. Brenda Snyder said over 100 disaster specialists from outside assist local care for victims of floods that swept Central and West Texas starting Aug 2. Robert Harry from ARC National Headquarters cited 26 dead, 127 injured, and about 8,87 families affected. Red Cross services include mass care for 3,000 victims, meals from fixed and mobile stations, and relief centers in Bandera Kerr Kendall Calde Shackleford counties.
