U S Border Patrol agents at the Del Rio Station detained a United States citizen with an active Illinois homicide warrant. On August 4 at about 3 p m the man was arrested after illegal entry near Del Rio. He was Luis Manuel Robles 35 and transported to Val Verde County Correctional Facility for extradition to Cook County Illinois.
City council opened the budget process for Fiscal Year 2015 2010 reviewing proposed expenditures and revenues. Finance Director Manuel Chavez presented the overview as council set tax rate planning dates, rolls, and hearings. Alma Venegas reported a 2.5 percent rise in net taxable value to 1 322 314 245, with the year’s taxable base focused on growth.
