National Weather Service updates predict continued hot and mostly sunny skies for Del Rio today and Tuesday. Tonight will be fair and warm with overnight lows mid 70s, daytime highs near 101. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph, up to 20 mph late this afternoon. Rainfall this year totals 17.08 inches. Sunday night low was 74 with 100 degree heat earlier. Extended South Texas outlook shows isolated thunderstorms mainly southeast coast, otherwise partly cloudy with 90 to 100 daytime highs and 70s to near 80 overnight lows through Friday. Willie Williams 74 native of Brackettville died in Corpus Christi Monday. Rites were held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Brackettville with burial at Seminole Indian Scout Cemetery west of Brackettville. Born January 12, 1907, in Brackettville, he lived in California for years and later in Corpus Christi with daughter Rodessa Jones. Survivors include Rodessa Jones of Corpus Christi, Pauline Davis of Houston, sisters Gertrude Ward of Phoenix Evelyn Wyteh of Oklahoma City and Hazel Washington of Brackettville, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
