Eighty Students Transferred to Mexican School
Eighty students moved from the vocational agriculture building to the new Mexican primary school this morning. About 35 students remain and are enrolled at the old building where Miss Julia Jones leads the new group. The two teachers from the vocational building moved with their pupils, leaving roughly 15 continued at the old site. The shift eases the school board’s housing problem.

Mrs. Sheffield Dies in El Paso
News of the death in El Paso last night of Mrs. W. F. Sheffield was received in Del Rio this morning by her sister Mrs. J. L. Barnes. Mrs. Barnes will leave this afternoon for El Paso to attend the funeral services. Mrs. Sheffield was a visitor in the Barnes home this summer, making many friends who will regret her death.

Hope Abandoned For Recovery of Mrs C Pingenot
All hopes for the recovery of Mrs Chas T Pingenot, ill since Saturday night, were abandoned at noon today. It is thought she cannot survive many hours. Her stillborn child arrived Sunday afternoon. Mr and Mrs Pingenot have three other small children.
