The Kansas Medical Board revoked the license of Dr John R. Brinkley after he admitted to performing goat gland transplantations. Brinkley claimed the procedure rejuvenated male patients and had built a fortune advertising the operation on radio broadcasts.

Texas Gas Utilities Company closed a contract to furnish natural gas for the Central Power and Light steam plant located 12 miles west of Del Rio at Devil's River. The 64 mile line from Rycade field in Maverick County to the plant was welded with no leaks despite rocky canyons.
Del Rio's natural gas distribution network has been tested at 109 psi and is ready for household taps. Mains are in place, many homes piped, service lines pending. Gas will run at four to eight ounces burner pressure, with monthly meter readings set for the 21st to 25th. Offices and departments are listed, with supply from Chittin lease in Maverick County. A 40 mile line is in progress to Winter Garden, and Eagle Pass distribution is ready for inauguration next week.
