Two workers Dan iels and Alston Faribault were hurt when a pry pole used to steady a drilling line failed as a water well near Villa Acuna was advanced. Daniels suffered a severely bruised hip and Faribault jaw fractures and tongue injuries. both were treated locally after the incident Saturday. The accident also involved Jack and Jon Daniels, sons of the elder victim, and occurred during drilling for the Bas Carlos irrigation project about four miles from Villa Acuna. An x ray showed no fractures for Daniels on Sunday.
