COLLEGE STATION Sept 6 Hay that normally would not pay for cutting may be put up to advantage this year in the opinion of C N Shepardson head of the dairy husbandry department at Texas A and M College. With feed prices about double those a year ago it is urgent that every farmer save every possible ton of feed for the coming winter. Grass and weed patches along roadsides fence rows and stream banks can yield hay that, though not highly palatable, can sustain animals in a pinch, especially when mixed with cotton seed meal to form a maintenance ration for Texas cattle this winter.

Edgewood reports two of three Tecumseh jail escapees Milard Bune and Malley Kuykendall were captured on a Van Zandt County farm after a machine gun battle with officers seeking Leonard Blair Bunch the third escapee. Bunch was wounded and taken to a Dallas hospital Kuykendall jailed in Canton Deputy Burnett injured in the farmhouse fighting hospitalized in Dallas in serious condition not.
