Visit of W M Gildea recalls outlaw era in town
W M Gildea of Arizona and son in law R C Courtney visited the city recounting life in Maverick County in the early 1870s. He spoke of King Fisher and other bandits, a clash with Mexican citizens over the river, and the deaths that followed. He left in 1876 and remains sharp despite age.

Double Milling in Fort Worth Tragedy Unfolds

One eight month clip brought 29 cents a pound, and a 12 month clip brought 30 to 31 cents. Mohair sales totaled 790000 dollars, making a grand total of 1500000 dollars.
