CHANGSHA Hunan Province May 28 A relief worker touring the famine devastated interior reports no children seen in the afflicted area as severe drought and civil warfare devastate more than 60 of 75 counties. Official figures indicate about 2 million people of 30 million in the province are destitute and starving.
Special police protection along the Mexico Laredo highway and gas stations has been ordered by Rodolfo E. Calles minister of communication for Rotarians traveling by road to their convention in Mexico City next month.
