R M Gatlin Del Rio ranchman critically injured in a head on collision three miles east of Uvalde Saturday around 6 pm. He showed improvement Monday with a broken left hip and multiple injuries. George Fowler and wife of Boerne suffered head injuries. all three were taken to Uvalde Hospital.
City commissioners awarded a bid of 5350 dollars to San Antonio Machine and Supply Company for furnishing two electric pumps for the water works. Installation will begin within 60 days at the springs site that supplies the city with water.
