JUNEAU Alaska May 25 The seal patrol of the coast guard cutter Tallapoosa paused during its voyage as Lt Cmdr Noble G Ricketts conducted a first marriage ceremony. He escorted thousands of seals north to mates then found a native couple and a widow seeking a husband to support her two children. A government Indian Bureau teacher aided the search and the clergyman arrived to perform the match except for a planned triple wedding that was halted by a 13 year old's age.
Panera services for Fyimund Burke Rose 39 will be held Tuesday afternoon at 4 30 o clock in the First Methodist Church with the Rev L C Beasier. Interment will be in Mason Cemetery. Mr Rose died Monday afternoon at 2 30 o clock in his home on East Academy Street after an extended illness. A resident of Del Rio for 53 years he was born May 14 1878 in Karnes County. He came to Del Rio in 1884 and married Frances Solis in 1912. He had ranching interests in the Dryden country and served the city as sanitary inspector. His widow two children three grandchildren three brothers and two sisters survive.
Del Rio Chamber of Commerce directors met to discuss a possible Border Route linking San Antonio to El Paso via Uvalde Del Rio Alpine and Marta The plan would aid east west mail service and attract more air traffic to Del Rio The group expects required airport improvements from the Commerce Department and also heard updates on plans for a fair grounds site and the Brinkley Invitational Golf Tournament June 16 to 20 The board approved a leave of absence for Jas C Netts to attend the Texas Chamber of Commerce convention in Kerrville June 3 to 5

Funeral services for Mrs Fal Dietzel mother of Misses Elnora and Lillie Dietzel were held Monday morning at 10 in Victoria. She died from a heart attack Saturday afternoon at 5 10 o clock in her home in Victoria. Misses Dietzel left Del Rio upon learning of her death and attended the funeral, returning Monday night.
