Ben Barton Passmore Jr., 8, nephew of Mrs. E. S. Palmer, died with two Houston youths while swimming in White Oak Bayou. Hyman Jacobs, 9, and Kenneth Lake, 8, also perished. Witnesses were Allen Mitchell 8 and George Michael 10. Body recovered by 26 year old salesman C. Childers. Mrs. Palmer left by midnight train to Houston to be with her sister. Grandson of Dr. B. H. Passmore of San Antonio.

Harvey Hall son in law of W H Dodd of Langtry travels via Del Rio to Dallas to oversee Texas Centennial celebrations as official sheriff. The replica Roy Bean Jersey Lily Saloon will welcome visitors with just fees and a yet unnamed actor to portray Roy Bean.
Heavy showers Friday brought about 0.25 inch to Del Rio and extended west to Comstock. Doc Everett ranch north of Comstock reported good rains. Eagle Pass also had good showers while Spofford and Brackettville saw slow rain. North of the city showers dwindled to a light sprinkle at Loma Alta.
