Mount Vernon Ohio May 20 The court overruled a motion to dismiss a $25,000 alienation of affection suit against former U S Senator Clarence Dill. Most testimony linking Dill to arranging an illegal operation as alleged by his niece Margie Heaton Dill was ordered struck from the record.

The wool market reached a peak as the 96 000 pound 12 month clip from E. K. Fawcett sold to Duwain Hughes of Studley Emory at 33 cents a pound. C. B. Wardlaw announced 21 000 pounds of 12 month wool sold to C. D. Stokes at 32 and one half cents, matching the prior high. About 250 000 pounds of eight month wool sold to Stokes at 31 cents.

Kansas carries 19000000 debt from a soldiers bonus. New York shows net indebtedness of 655278000 as of Sept 1 1955.
In Austin on May 20 the proposed constitutional amendment to establish a state liquor monopoly was drawn to occupy first place on the ballot. Secretary of State R. B. Stanford oversaw the drawing. The plan for school teacher retirement was ranked second among six measures.
