Trial set for the week of June 3 amid broader lottery cases in the area.
Mrs. Belle Campbell 81 mother of Mrs. Lamar Smith of this city and wife of W. B. Campbell of Midlothian died of a heart attack Thursday in Dallas while visiting her son and daughter-in-law Ray and Mrs. Campbell. Funeral services will be held in Bremond Robertson County East Texas, former home of the Campbell family, likely Friday afternoon. Mrs. Smith will not attend.

He offered to write a foreword and hopes to finish Final Conclusions after the operation, accompanied by his son Gene.
The Senate finance committee approved the administration social security bill with two key House additions. A voluntary annuity option lets workers contribute up to 100 dollars monthly for retirement. Federal aid to the needy blind rises to 15 dollars monthly, to be matched by states.
Washington May 17 informs of Donald Richberg stepping out of the government and returning to private law practice when the NRA act expires June 16. Other NRA executives reportedly consider early retirement as the reform era nears a close.
Crisoforo Galindo and Darlos Cuellar were found guilty of perjury by juries at the district court special term. They received two years on perjury and two years on murder and burglary counts, concurrent totals four years each. Galindo was convicted for the murder of Estella Vasquez who died October 10 from injuries after being struck by Galindo's car.
Manila May 17 The Philippine constabulary headquar ters report soldiers killed 20 outlaws in the Laguna province mountains. Four detachments pursue the band blamed for the murder of four men on Thursday. The outlaws, linked to the Communist group Anak Pants, retreated into Negrito territory.
Mr and Mrs E K Fawcett and Jas C Netts returned from Plainview where they attended the West Texas Chamber of Commerce convention. The next convention will be in Amarillo. Fawcett is a director and president emeritus of the local WTCC. About 50 towns sent representatives to La Fiesta with Miss Alice Overstreet of Del Rio and escort Bobby Cawthorn. All wore Spanish costumes.
Rain measured half an inch in Del Rio and three inches in surrounding areas. Devil's River saw about three inches with water covering low spots eighteen inches deep on the highway. Lake Walk reported sheet rain and fishermen stranded. Other amounts include Spofford three inches Brackettville 2.5 Eagle Pass 16 Rocksprings 2 Uvalde 2.5 and three inches at Quemado. River at Eagle Pass 15 feet rising slowly. local river rise minimal.
Secretary Morgenthau called for rigid federal control of credit and currency through a strong board modeled on the Supreme Court. He testified to a Senate banking sub committee that he favors government ownership of all stock in Federal Reserve banks.
The Farm Administration plans hearings on proposed licensing for wool and mohair dealers with San Angelo slated July 29 30 as part of a nationwide schedule. The plan would regulate trade practices set an advisory panel of growers and dealers and take effect January 1 1936 pending further action by Congress and hearings are to precede a possible national expansion.
In Kaunas on May 17 the Lithuanian Supreme Court upheld four death sentences and 87 prison terms for German Memel residents accused of plotting to seize territory for the Reich. The men to be shot, subject to clemency, were Emil Boll Walter Preiss Reinrich Wannagat and Emil Lepa.

St Paul May 17 Arthur Doc Barker kidnap outlaw and four co defendants were convicted in the Federal Court for the 200000 abduction of banker Edward G Bremer. Barker and Berg were sentenced to life in prison. Other convictions were handed down with sentencing deferred.
In Orange New Jersey on May 17 Rev. William H. McAllister identified the body of his 21 year old son shot by Glen Ridge Police Sergeant Gardner after robbing a Glen Ridge home. The minister cited evil companionship but said the officer did his duty.
Jimmie Ratliff remains jailed in Brownwood awaiting a $1,000 bond after an examining trial before Peace Justice E. T. Perkinson. He was bound over to the grand jury on a charge of forging a bill of sale, arrested in Brackettville and transported to Brownwood Monday evening.
Vice President Garner signed the 2.2 billion Patman inflationary bonus measure and Roosevelt prepared a veto message. The draft veto will go to the House first and is expected to be quickly overridden there. The Senate showdown is seen as the decisive test, likely midweek.
One million pounds of mohair were loaded from Del Rio to Eastern mills. William Cheshire of Collins and Aikman Bristol arrived to oversee the shipment. Mohair sold for 26 cents per pound grown hair and 36 cents for kid hair, the first disposal here in 18 months.
Geo E O Neill announced the sale of 33000 pounds of wool by the Del Rio Wool and Mohair Company to Sumner Willis of Walter Marston and Company in Boston. Long wool brought 24 cents a pound and short wool 22 cents.
Kerr County sheep and goat men will meet at the Kerr County court house at 2 oclock Saturday afternoon. The newly formed Texas Sheep and Goat Raisers Association will discuss issues for West Texas producers and citizens. President Abe Mayer of San Angelo is expected to attend along with other prominent invitees.
