The Railroad Commission in Austin reduced East Texas oil allowance by about 10 000 barrels daily and set a statewide limit at 1 143 985 barrels effective May 20. New field wells were lowered from 150 to 130 barrels per day to curb heavy drilling.
Seattle May 15 Arne Wells aviation mechanic was killed and Jay Graybill operator of a flying service was seriously injured when their plane crashed in the rugged Cascade Mountains 25 miles from North Bend Officials learned today confirming the fatal accident and injuries in the rugged terrain with authorities investigating the cause.
Seventy two San Antonio Chamber of Commerce representatives and 131 Del Rio guests joined a noontime barbecue at the San Felipe Country Club grounds in Del Rio. The San Antonio party arrived by a special train and toured the city, with many leading local business figures listed among the visitors. The group included executives from Alamo Iron Works, Bird Lime & Cement, Borden’s, Brown Express, Dun & Bradstreet, Halff Manufacturing, Humble Oil, International Harvester, J. R. Myer, Pittsburgh Plate Glass, Southwest Bell, and Steves Sash & Door, among others. Three additional delegates traveled as far as Uvalde before returning to San Antonio.

Funeral services for James Henry Nipper 81 father of Dr. W. W. Nipper Brackettville and cousin of Mrs. C. A. Donaldson Sr. Del Rio will be held Friday at 3 pm from the Methodist Church in Uvalde. He died in Brackettville Thursday morning aged 81 born October 7 1854 in Bexar County. Survivors include widow Sue Eleanor Nipper six children and 13 grandchildren. The list names Cleigh Nipper Raymond Nipper Mrs Leon Nease Mrs Denver Keeney and Mrs Virgil Deason and others.

A man identifying himself as Frank Boykin was delivered to Deputy Sheriff Lowe by Sheriff A E Steinmetz on Friday at about 9 30 after being held in Val Verde County jail. He was captured Thursday evening by Sheriff Steinmetz and Deputy Jim Seale in Brackettville after word spread that he was wanted.
Mrs. B. J. Davis, state beauty shop inspector in Del Rio, warns Thursday that charges may be filed against local shops not compliant with the new beauty shop bill. Violations include employing unlicensed operators. licenses require sanitation and sterilization standards.

Fischer outlines taxes on natural resources to fund a state old age pension and tax real estate less while taxing oil gas sulfur and carbon black.

Delbert Green, after six years on Utah’s death row, was sentenced Friday to die by firing squad for murder in Farmington. The ruling marks his fifth and apparently final death sentence.
Roy Langwell a railway section man was abducted by two convicts from McAlester prison. The two other fugitives were captured, three hostages were freed, and six escapees remain at large as Sheriff Holm identified Claude Beavers and Claude Pugh from photos. Bill Anderson and Archie Herring surrendered after pleading with possemen. Nearby farm location yielded guards and a cowboy found with the captors.
J P Aderhold announced Friday he will seek a new term as Justice of the Peace for Precinct No One in the Democratic primary on July 25 1936. Elected in 1934 and taking office January 1 1935 he pledged to continue diligent service if renomination is granted.
President Roosevelt announced at a press conference that the Public Works and Resettlement Administration would continue on a smaller scale under the pending 1.425 billion work relief appropriation. Funds would be allocated from relief to resettlement to push three or four phases of the agency’s work and some municipal projects led by Secretary Ickes would qualify under the new relief bill.
