It demands a full investigation and is directed to Gov. James V. Allred and several federal and state officials.
In Cleveland on May 14 union members at the Fisher Body Company plant cast a unanimous vote to terminate their strike and return to work. Company officials declined comment but plan to reopen the plant, which normally employs 9,000. The Toledo Corvette, I mean Chevrolet, plant strike had ended and Toledo's transmission factory strike contributed to parts shortages.
James Roosevelt of Boston, son of the President, will attend the Young Democratic Club of Texas state convention in Amarillo on June 7 and 8. Ellicott Roosevelt, another of the President's sons, also agreed to attend. The executive committee will meet here Sunday.
On May 14 the Senate voted 62 to 20 against investigating Postmaster General Farley after Senator Huey Long accused him of seven acts of wrongdoing including influencing contracts and indirect benefits from Public Works jobs. House leaders rebutted Long’s claims as unproven hearsay and defended Farley against charges.
Eldorado public schools superintendent R D Holt has been named head of Sanderson schools and will depart in late June. He served eight years at Eldorado where units rose from 17 to 28 and vocational agriculture and home economics were accredited. Courses broadened under his tenure include music in elementary and physical education. Eldorado school listed with Southern Association since 1930.
Approximately one million individuals are on relief rolls in Texas with 240000 on direct relief and the rest on working relief along with 41787 over age 65 on relief. Relief is determined by family size and needs via state case workers. the state employs 5000 relief workers, including 1698 case workers, who travel over 500 miles monthly on average.

Col. T. E. Shaw famed as Lawrence of Arabia lay unconscious after a motorcycle collision last night. He was thrown about 100 feet and sustained a fractured skull with very serious injuries, though reported holding his own.
Funeral services were held Monday for Clifford White, 15 month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde White of Irving. He was killed Sunday morning when a grindstone fell on him as he played in the yard with his aunt Rosa May White, 11.
St Paul May 14 Elmer Farmer of Bensenville Illinois tavern keeper pleaded guilty to conspiracy in the $200 000 Edwin G Bremer kidnapping He was the second to plead guilty Byron Bolton of Chicago had entered a similar plea when the trial opened a month ago.
Crisoforo Galindo was found guilty of perjury in district court and sentenced to two years in prison. He had earlier been convicted of the murder of Estella Vasquez, with a separate two year term. The judge ruled the sentences should not run concurrently. John Rowland led the jurors including Julius Franks Harvey Hall and others.
Wilkes-Barre Pa May 14 Five men were hospitalized with bullet wounds and fifteen with lacerations after a riot at Nottingham Colliery sparked by a strike victory. State police clashed with hundreds of new union pickets attempting to keep United Mine Workers members from entering the mine. Troopers fired in self defense.
Plainview resident BG Redfern, 24, died when the car he rode in overturned one mile south of Hale Center on Monday. Two companions were injured. Redfern worked for the Hale County State Bank and was the son of J M Redfern, appraiser for the Federal Land Bank.
