Mrs Brian Montague left Del Rio Sunday night for Dallas to be with her mother sister brother and niece all injured in an automobile wreck near Dallas Sunday. The injured were in a Dallas hospital and Miss Rose Sweet a former Del Rio school teacher was among those hurt.

Harry Stewart New former Postmaster General and longtime Indiana journalist died after hospital treatment in Baltimore at age 74. He rose from Indianapolis reporter to editor and publisher and served as U S senator during World War I and as Republican national chairman. He backed the Lodge anti ratification stance and later led the post office under President Harding. Born 1858 in Indianapolis he spent years in journalism before joining government service and died after a life of public and press leadership.
J E Jackson head of the San Antonio federal social security office will talk with Del Rio business men and civic leaders Tuesday at the Chamber of Commerce. He aims to explain act requirements and federal regulations and urged local employers to attend.
