Funeral services for Mrs Deen Singler 31 sister of O Roy Erwin Sr of Del Rio were held Wednesday afternoon at 5 oclock in Rockport Corpus Christi hospital held her Monday. She is survived by two children Bobby Gus and Mary Deen her mother Mrs ROE Erwin Sr Rockport three sisters Miss Bessie Erwin Corpus Christi Venice Cal and Mrs Bertha Fortenberry Venice Cal two brothers RE Erwin Venice Cal and O Roy Erwin Sr Del Rio.
In Clayton New Mexico on May 7 a hawk with a bell bearing W W Shouse’s name address and date was found after being killed in Canada. Postmaster A L England delivered the letter noting the bird still wore its bell, ending a two decade search.
Nineteen Del Rio Masons attended a Las Moras Lodge meeting in Brackettville on Thursday evening. Masters were conferred and members from Eagle Pass lodges joined attendees including J B Brokaw Nat E Frazier J C Dudnes Lyle S Almond and others.
