The storm system brought 0.64 inches of rain to Del Rio with thick hail and high winds. Reports from the June country and Carrizo Springs indicate one to five inches in places, with Will Baker and others recording two to five inch totals. the Juno road closed briefly due to Devils River rise, now open. Normal May rainfall is 2.88 inches, and this hail storm marks the third Del Rio hail event this year.

Nearly 200000 pounds of wool sold at a sealed bid sale at the Roddie & Company warehouse in Brady. Prices ranged from 24 to 26 1/4 cents per pound. Gibbons Brothers ranch near San Saba sold 24 1/2 cents clip to Charlie Angell of Angell Erensdon and Dupont of Boston. Tom Parker of Emery & Conant Co bought 42,000 pounds at 24 to 24 1/4 cents. Jeff Solis of Wright Brothers sold 15,000 pounds, 6500 at 25 1/4 cents. Dutch Verdiaw, Texas Sheep & Goat Raisers head, attended. Big Canyon clip 128900 pounds bought by Jackson Hughes at an unannounced price near 24 cents. Other sales included 40,000 pounds at 36 cents grown hair and 46 cents kid end, and 30,000 pounds eight months wool at 18 cents.

Survivors include his widow and two sons, his mother Mrs Irene Johns, his sister Mrs Sam Smith, and five brothers Ralph Clarence Fred Herbert Elmer Johns.
