Mrs Sara J Hodge 46 wife of Assistant Postmaster W C Hodge died Wednesday after a stroke. Funeral Thursday at 10 in the Doran Chapel with Rev LC Beasley officiating. Born Laura J Hopper in Athens June 16 1891 she had lived in Del Rio since 1911 after moving from East Texas. Survived by husband five children four grandchildren a sister and a brother.

Prices eased most days but finished slightly lower on Friday. old contracts fell 20 to 36 points, new deliveries down 32 to 455 points, spot tops down 30 points to 117 dollars.

She resolved as a young girl never to tell her age and has kept the pledge since. Her husband died in 1928 without knowing her age and neither of her two sons knows it.
