Fines ranging from 12.70 to 200 were handed to several defendants in corporation court this morning. Jeff Davis faced 400 in two cases for reckless driving and for damaging a city fire hydrant on South Main. Miss Brazier received 1670 for reckless driving. A schoolboy was fined 12.70 for fast driving. Judge Smith imposed the maximum in the Day case, with others eased. A warning was issued that speeding and drunken driving will be strictly fined to improve safety.
