David Jefferies Walker 6 died Monday morning at his daughter's home after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 in the Doran Chapel with Rev Rowand Murray officiating. Interment in West lawn Cemetery. He lived in Del Rio since 1907 and worked 40 years for the railroad, retiring in 1925. Survived by a son J Autrey Walker, three daughters, and three grandchildren. Banks will close until 1 p.m. in his honor.

Willacy County Attorney H G Wright said a complaint charging robbery with firearms was filed against George Durham foreman of part of the former King Ranch and Fernando Correa ranch employee. Lius Maldonado a tenant on the adjacent E G Barnhill farm alleged the men forced him at shotgun point to the ranch for questioning in cattle killings.
A truck load of cedar furniture for the Indian Lodge at Fort Davis passed through Del Rio on Saturday. J. C. Dalgarn, field engineer of the State Parks Board, led the shipment. The cedar pieces were built for Bastrop Park and feature matched design with Indian origin items for each lodge room.

Funeral services for 82 year old Evelyn B Fisher mother of J H Fisher of Del Rio were held in Waelder on Monday afternoon. Mrs Fisher resided in Waelder all her life and died Sunday evening after illness. J H Fisher and his son Adolph traveled from Del Rio to attend, meeting later with Mrs H W Little in Uvalde before returning home. She is survived by four other sons Frank P Fisher Dallas Jack Fisher Fletcher Fisher and Bomar B Fisher and three daughters Lelia F Woodward Detroit Jeanne McCrory San Antonio Corinne Fisher Waelder.
County health nurse Miss Gayle Isensee will visit Comstock Wednesday to carry out regular baby station duties. She recently returned from San Angelo after attending a four day public health workers and nurses convention.
Publican Domino the Tenth, a 2300 pound Hereford bull owned by CM Largent and Sons of Merkel, was named outstanding bull of Texas by the San Antonio Standard-Times. Four years old, he has traveled 30,000 miles in competition, holds multiple championships, and retired to a 3000 acre ranch where he serves as herd sire.
The federal employes picnic plans will be refined after committees meet Tuesday at 7:30 in Hugh T Wood's office. Agriculture Department records show Texas produced nearly all mohair in 1936 with 2,980,000 goats at 45 pounds each for 13.4 million pounds. Other states combined yielded 2.58 million pounds from 688,000 goats, while U S output totaled 15.986 million pounds.
