Benjamin Harrison Brown prominent ranchman of Sanderson died at his ranch home Tuesday morning at 5 o clock after a two hour illness the cause unknown. Funeral plans awaited word from his mother in Wilmer seven miles from Dallas. Damon Doran of Doran Yates funeral home left for Sanderson to prepare the remains. He was an ex member of the 26th division of the A E F. Survived by his wife and a small son his mother in Wilmer and a step brother.
The State Highway Department will hear requests in Austin on Tuesday and Wednesday to designate Highway 10 from Del Rio to Oklahoma City. Officials plan cork surface work on 151 miles and 11 bridges with a $2,500,000 program affecting Brown Comanche Erath Hood McCulloch and Val Verde counties. If appealed, McCamey supporters plan further action. the 4 year status quo hinges on higher court decision.
