No receipts and no holdover reported. Lambs 25 to 40 cents lower while sheep rose 4 cents. Top wooled lambs at 10 dollars, other lambs 9.25 to 9.85, best shorn around 9. Prices for other categories shown with varied gains and losses. Cattle receipts 400 with 100 calves holdover. Fed steers and yearlings mostly 60 to 75 cents lower.

A Boston Post report from Duxbury Massachusetts dated March 22 states Amos Silvia and his wife lost three children when a fire razed their two room house. The blaze claimed the lives of all three youngsters as the home burned.

Bankhead principal at Central Grammar School is named assistant supervisor in the demonstration school at the University of Colorado Bowdler. He will study there this summer and help supervise educational demonstrations under a professor from Columbia University.

Del Rio San Felipe and Villa Acuna commercial groups sent proposals to the Villa Acuna Chamber of Commerce officers. Plans will be studied and likely presented to the three organizations in a few days. The San Felipe Chamber, secretary Lisandro Pena, moved to form an association affiliated with the national tourist body in Mexico City. The international plan aims to ease tourist traffic across border towns in this region.

Dr. A. R. Bowman Former Uvalde Mayor Dies

Dr. A. R. Bowman 71 former mayor of Uvalde died at home after a long illness. Born in Henry County Missouri he graduated from University Medical College Kansas City and came to Uvalde in 1907. He was married to Dora Cross. survivors include Mrs. Bewren and children.

Dr Pedro Martinez Perez was appointed presidente mayor of Piedras Negras by governor telegraph. Acting mayor Jose Maria de los Santos handed over duties as oath was administered in the presence of Alderman Cipriano de los Santos and other officials. Murder Charge to be Filed Against Shreveport Man

Police Chief H J Allen said a murder charge would likely be filed against Roy L Delatte 21 in the fatal shooting of his bride Eliz beth Bowen seven hours after their marriage. The coroner said suicide was not possible and Delatte was found drunk near the bed.

City League Opens March 31 With Split Schedule

The City League amateur baseball season starts March 31 with a twilight game. The board of control approved a split season of 27 games per division over 18 weeks ending in August, with a city championship series to follow. Five teams are affiliated and a sixth hoped for. a six team circuit would play three games weekly. Games must last at least five innings and umpires may call early. The diamond near North Main east of the tracks, provided by Central Power and Light and Southern Pacific, will host regular games. Rules and details to be set at a future meeting.

Del Rio will be represented by the chestnut horse Brazos in the closing program of the Spring Race Festival at San Angelo on Sunday afternoon.
