Hail Kills 500 Goats in Cotulla Area
A severe hailstorm about two miles wide struck ten miles south of Cotulla on March 22, killing 500 goats on the M. G. Talbott ranch. It also destroyed 100 acres of onions on several nearby farms and damaged trees, roofs, and windows amid heavy rain and wind.

District Court Opens in Uvalde Monday

Funeral services were held yesterday for Elizabeth Hucks two year old daughter of Mr and Mrs J B Bucks of 307 North Main. Interment followed at West Lawn cemetery with Rev T S Stauffer in charge.
