The $50 000 000 Green estate dispute involving the late Col Edward H R Green is moved from New York to Dallas for a hearing at the Dallas County courthouse on March 25 Judge Surrogate Harry F Owen appoints Raymond C Prime to preside and expert witnesses will testify on a Texas signed pre nuptial agreement Mrs Cylvia Wilks claims the agreement waives the widow’s claim and seeks to bar a large inheritance The case also involves inheritance tax claims by New York State and possible Florida testimony on residency and tax issues
Washington March 18 The House rejected an amendment to the McReynolds neutrality bill to forbid the export of arms and ammunition in peace time as well as in war time.
London instructed its ambassador to Rome to make urgent inquiries into reports of large numbers of Italian troops in Cadiz. Foreign Secretary Anthony Eden acknowledged in Commons that he had received reports of an undetermined Italian force landing at the insurgent port on March 5 aboard an Italian ship.
Secretary Hull apologized to German Ambassador Hans Luther for New York Mayor LaGuardia’s remarks about Adolf Hitler at a mass meeting. Hull urged end to bitter exchanges in the U S Germany diplomatic row and called for more temperate topics. Luther, visibly excited, met with Hull for 55 minutes and declined to speak to reporters.
Governor Bibb Graves signed a proclamation making the Alabama beverage control act effective in 24 counties after a statewide local option vote March 10. The measure creates a state liquor-store system ending the long bone dry prohibition in Alabama.
Charges of murder filed yester day against Cody Bell 43 Chris toval ranchman and brother Russell 39 for the fatal shooting of their mother Mary Bell 71 and Wiley Bell 46 at the Upton ranch home. Cody Bell remains in a Texas hospital. Russell guarded in San Angelo hospital. Motive undisclosed. Funeral services held for both last Saturday in Midland. Cody Bell faces unrelated sheep theft charge in Upton County with a 1000 bond. Russell Bell faces potential prison term after an appellate denial on swindling conviction. Additional theft by bailee case pending in Howard County.
Fingerprints and an automobile tire track are being investigated in connection with an attack on Mrs. Frank Blanton by two men Tuesday night in San Perlita. The report notes ongoing police work and evidence gathering.

Deputy sheriffs Cole Blackwell and Rudolph Moya arrested a Fort Clark baker for stealing 800 pounds of flour 100 pounds of shortening and two truck tires among loot. The suspect planned to sell the goods in Del Rio and was returned to Fort Clark for official action.

Carnegie-Illinois, led by Betjamuo F Fairless, and other U S Steel subunits totaling about 180 000 workers agreed to the union as collective bargaining agency with recognition of seniority and a paid one week vacation for veterans of five years or more.
