Three men were killed and another was critically hurt when a Louisville and Nashville freight engine exploded at Guthrie Tennessee. The dead include Henry Russell of Evansville and Aaron Moss of Evansville. an unidentified tramp also died. Engineer Blackburn was burned and not expected to live. Eighteen freight cars burned behind the engine.

Woman Given Prison Term in Rum Case
Mrs. Lydia Cochran of San Angelo pleaded guilty in Federal Court to a liquor charge and was sentenced to a year and a day in Leavenworth Federal Penitentiary.
