The Rev L B Gilbert pastor of the First Baptist Church officiated and interment followed at Westlawn Cemetery. Mrs Harris died Tuesday morning at 4 o clock in Del Rio Courts after illness since October. She was born in Clarkesville Tennessee on July 24 1879 and came to Del Rio in 1928. The $18 000 highway park on San Felipe Creek along Highway No 3 was formally accepted Tuesday by W D Dockery division engineer of the State Highway Department. Val Verde County donated the eight acre tract in three sections for development as a highway park with beautification completed since September. A L Egan of Dallas built grading drainage and two foot bridges while Ramsey's Austin Nursery handled shrubbery and street beautification.
