DECATUR March 3 Judge H E Brady received a letter from an Alabama man conveying three five dollar bills. The ex soldier, from Company H Third Regiment, explained he was broke at Fort Brown during a telegram about his mother's illness. Brady lent $15 from his own pocket and secured a furlough. He now returns the debt, recalling the 1899 act when he was first lieutenant in a highly regarded unit.
