W C Morris age 37 manager of the Eagle Hotel in Fagie Pass died Monday night in a San Antonio hospital from influenza and complications after a two week illness. Funeral services set for 5 PM Tuesday in Eagle Pass. He leaves a mother wife and two children W C Jr 8 and Myrick 4 all of Eagle Pass. Mr and Mrs T P Cook of Del Rio travel to attend. Mrs Cook is a Morris cousin.
The Del Rio Volunteer Fire Department will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 30 tonight in the fire station. All firemen are urged to attend.
In Armonk NY police reenact the capture of Merle Vandenbush and two companions, labeling Vandenbush Public Rat No 1 as they paraded into jail cells at New Bedford. The left-to-right photo shows Vandenbush, George, and another detainee.
