Cleveland Ohio June 11 John Daniel Miller Hamilton serves as general counsel of the GOP national committee Kansas committeeman and Landon campaign manager. He delivered the nomination speech and is a leading contender for national chairman if Landon wins the nomination. Hamilton has long backed Mulvane and the conservative wing, shaping Kansas GOP battles from 1925 onward.
At 7 30 this Friday the American Legion will report on the refrigerator project in the Chamber of Commerce. The group recently donated the refrigerator and will present a full account of the transaction. Members are urged to attend.
Five Jews arrested after a bomb exploded at the Jaffa gate, injuring 25 Arabs and Armenians, were exonerated today. Arab witnesses claimed Jewish attackers. other reports said a man in a fez aimed the blast at Jewish workers.

Antonio Romano, 62, president of the Malaga provincial parliament and the province's leading socialist, was assassinated in Malaga today. The government also said it had crushed the rightist movement in seven provinces.
Governor Alf M. Landon announced he would not attend the Republican national convention in Cleveland saying he would stay home regardless of developments. He spoke at a press conference after declining an offer from Col. Clarence D. Chamberlin to fly him to the event.
Miss Lela Williamson spoke about her experiences teaching on Indian reservations in White River Arizona and Del Rio Texas. She described housing styles dress customs and occupations of the Apache and Navajo peoples and noted stereotypes while contrasting poverty and friendliness.
