The hearse party travels from Del Rio to San Angelo then by rail to Shamrock. Mrs. Cornelius had sought treatment in Del Rio and had come here for care periodically since January.
The first broomcorn sale of the 1935 crop occurred yesterday when F. T. Ward, buyer for eastern parties, bought four carloads from local farmers in Hondo on July 27.

The jury commission including E. K. Fawcett Bryan Kelley and G A Calderon was impanelled Saturday morning by Judge Brian Montague in District Court. The commission will prepare the jury list for the November term of District Court in Del Rio.
Berlin July 27 Nazi police chief Von Helldorf said the state would continue its fight against Jewry and take action until Jews were forbidden. He offered no details on future anti Semitic measures, saying the drive would be carried out in another way. Amid alarms, reports of a Communist attack on the Steamship Bremen reached New York newspapers.
Barstow July 27. As Red Bluff dam work continues interest grows in land purchases in the Pecos Valley area. The dam will supply water to irrigate thousands of acres, prompting sale and subdivision of old fallow estates.
