Her children Ralph Jones of California Paul Jones of Corpus Christi Mrs A E Coffee of Oklahoma Mrs T E Nichols of Pharr Texas Mrs E P Streator of Corpus Christi and Mrs Andy Os good of Houston have been summoned to her bedside. Nichols and Streator are present and Ralph Jones was en route Monday afternoon.

AP reports Texas suffered sixteen deaths over the weekend including nine traffic fatalities two train runovers one accidental shooting and four drownings. In Peoria Arizona July 1 Chester Newton 50 of Phoenix was killed in a car crash injuring a Breckenridge Texas family of six including William Pardue Jr his wife Virginia three children and Virginia Pardue’s mother Emily Edwards.
The Japanese News Agency says Japan issued a final warning to China to settle the North China issue on Japan's terms. Chinese forces reportedly clash west of Peiping despite a truce at Tientsin as Tokyo protests strikes on supply and troop trains by Japanese planes.
