A 60 year old Chinese worker, Tom Wai from Hong Kong, died aboard a Southern Pacific day coach at Del Rio station. Immigation officials initially sought a deportation basis, but dismissed that finding. the body was moved to a funeral home as authorities sort red tape for disposal and a 7,000 mile return voyage from San Francisco to set the path for the remaining laborers.
