Scores homeless from Kansas Nebraska storms leave Washington Kansas in shock. Four dead and about 50 injured as the Fourth of July celebration area endures wrecked homes and widespread damage. Wind and flood threats worsen disaster across eastern Kansas and surrounding counties.
Dispatches report Governor Roberto Fierro, famed Mexican flying ace, ousted by Chihuahua State Legislature on charges of fund misuse. He allegedly collected 20,000 pesos unlawfully, received 47,000 pesos from a Juarez gambling house proprietor, and 25,000 pesos from another source. The Legislature acted as grand jury after a brief inquiry.
Palmer West of Eldorado crashed near the Hope corner chicken farm on Loop Road and struck a fence. He suffered a broken shoulder and minor bruises with the car badly damaged. He was treated at Middlebrook Clinic following the Sunday evening accident.

Beginning Wednesday July 6 all letters and first class mail require three cents per ounce or fraction thereof. Postcards unchanged. Air mail rates rise to eight cents per ounce and thirteen cents for each additional ounce domestically and to Mexico Canada and Cuba. Letters after July 5 without proper postage will be returned or held with due postage. New denomination stamps available at the post office.
Vannie Cressnoe whose cafe on South Tennessee Street was wrecked by a blast from dynamite or similar high explosive has begun erecting a new brick building at the wrecked site. Construction has started on the replacement structure for his business in McKinney Texas.
A silent parade of ex service men reached the Capitol to press Congress for immediate bonus payment. The event followed a revolt within the B. E. F. leadership led by Walter Waters as communists urged his removal. The organizers claimed 20,000 veterans camped in Washington, but fewer than 5,000 joined the march.
Notice states advertising forms close Wednesday July 6 for Del Rio Evening News special political edition. It will distribute several thousand copies across judicial and congressional districts in a tabloid size to reach voters before the July 23 primaries. The G. H. Parker headquarters ranch home, 13 miles north of Del Rio, was totally destroyed by a Sunday lightning fire. None of the contents were saved. Mr and Mrs Parker were informed Monday by ranch employees that the loss is partially insured. Mr and Mrs Stewart were away from home at the time.
Seven men robbed the State Bank at San Pierre Indiana of seven thousand dollars. Albert Brenham a deaf mute outside the building was shot four times and fatally wounded for failing to obey orders. The bandits used a machine gun and smaller weapons. Brenham was the only person wounded.
In Pecos Texas July 6 two men attempted a bank heist at Barstow Citizens State Bank. H A Collins summoned Sheriff Dyer but officers failed to catch the suspects. The vault was pried with a knob removed and the bank held several thousand dollars while burglars left a full set of burglary tools.
