Eligibility requires ages 18 to 25, dependents, and a physical exam. The program aims to reduce relief rolls with each enlistment.

Randall County has a woman justice of the peace. Mrs. Loraine Stokes of Amarillo was appointed to succeed her father, W. C. Stevenson, who resigned in precinct No. 4 a section of south Amarillo. She is the third person to hold the office since January 1.
