Funeral services for Robert Edwin Girard infant son of Mr and Mrs M L Girard were held Monday at 3 pm from Mrs Girard’s parents home on East Greenwood Street. Supplies Of Food And Fuel Go To Needy Here
Flour butter pork and wood are distributed Monday to the needy from surplus supplies sent to Del Rio The butter is kept on ice at the Central Power and Light Company ice plant and issued on order of the relief office. Flour and pork are tested from the warehouse near the track and wood from the wood lot on Guiner Street. Wood was obtained on Devil's River through CWA labor and cut in cord lengths for distribution. All commodities go to the needy in proportion to family size.

Robert Johnson Dies of Flu Pneumonia at 59
Robert Lee Johnson, 59, a former Houston druggist, died Monday at 5 a.m. at his East Del Rio home after a weeklong illness. He moved to Del Rio three months ago from Houston where he married Susie Radford in 1923. A Fresno City native, Johnson studied pharmacy in San Francisco before relocating to Texas. Survived by his wife, funeral services are planned for Tuesday afternoon at Deran Funeral Home.
