Robert M. Lyles local attorney is resting after a automobile wreck near Brackettville Wednesday afternoon. Lyles suffered scalp wounds and shoulder and hip cuts. Also injured were L D Hall and Ro Davis both San Antonio lawyers. The car left the road struck loose gravel turning over several times. All occupants escaped with minor injuries. The crash occurred about a mile and a half from Brackettville on a gravel stretch under repair.

William Draeger Funeral Services Held Thursday
William Draeger 80 of Del Rio, who lived there 45 years, was buried Thursday after funeral services at Sacred Heart Church. He died Tuesday at his home after weeks of illness. He left 47 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and had served as a government scout and later ditch superintendent for Val Verde Irrigation Company.
