Poll taxes and exemptions filings are well ahead, with many small refunds due to delinquent taxpayers from October and November still awaiting checks.

CRYSTAL CITY Jan. 20 UP William Ottenhouse 83 reputedly Zavala County's wealthiest man died Monday night after an extended illness. Burial was held on the Ottenhouse ranch near Batesville. Automobile tourists reaching Del Rio on Wednesday said motorists using 1931 Texas license plates are being stopped in New Mexico and required to buy 1982 New Mexico plates.
