70 Mile Wind Sweeps Alpine Ripping Uproar in Big Bend
The 70 mile per hour wind tore through Alpine and the Big Bend Tuesday, wrecking buildings and windmills and causing widespread damage. The U S Weather Bureau forecast rain for the border country and livestock warnings were issued in the Panhandle as temperatures neared 20 degrees.

Karl Arnold Infant Buried in Charlotte
Funeral services for the infant daughter of Mr and Mrs Karl Arnold of Del Rio were held Tuesday afternoon in Charlotte. The baby died of pneumonia in a San Antonio hospital Monday night after a brief illness. She was born three months ago at the parents home in North Heights. The Arnolds left Saturday for Charlotte to spend several days of Mr Arnold's vacation time. He is an employee of the Central Power and Light Company.

Man Sought for Check Swindling Caught at Marfa
