Last rites for Mrs. Daisy Martin 57 mother of M. S. Martin Del Rio and Batesville native were held Monday at 10:30 a.m. from the Doran Funeral Home with Robert Allen of Sanderson officiating. Interment was in Westlawn Cemetery. She died Sunday morning at her son Luther Martin’s Comfort home from a burst appendix after visiting for New Year’s holidays. Survivors include two sons M. S. Nine deaths by drowning and eight more in traffic accidents were reported from the worst rainstorm in Southern California history.
