Dr C J Koerth superintendent of the Woodmen of the World Tubercular Sanatorium in San Antonio will lecture on treatment prevention and cure of tuberculosis in the North Heights Elementary School auditorium Tuesday evening December 7 at 7 30. The event is sponsored by the Business and Professional Women’s Club Val Verde County Health Council and the Del Rio Independent School District with moving pictures to illustrate and admission is free.

A hitch-hiker case near Del Rio leads to three men detained after an early Saturday assault on car owner Clyce Frank of South Dakota. Frank, en route to California, picked up two hitch-hikers and a man who attacked him. the assailant fled as authorities closed in near McKees Skin and Devils River. The grand jury will be recalled Monday for further investigation.
A sharp cold air mass moves through Texas lowering temps across Dallas to the mid 20s and Panhandle expects 16 to 34 with freezing readings this morning while the UAW conducts a Ford plant strike in St Louis with protests at seven dealers.
