Edith Stone Haworth aged 53 was found dead in her Comanche bathroom. The coroner ruled death by gas self-inflicted. The incident occurred on August 28. An inquest confirmed suicide by gas as the cause.

More than eight miles of 2 y inch galvanized iron pipe, totaling 43 683 feet, were unloaded for the new San Felipe water system. The pipe will branch from six and eight inch mains in the Mexican suburb and connect with thousands of feet of half inch pipe in yards. City Commissioner Otto Koog says six inch laying will start Thursday with more crews, and the system will serve San Felipe for many years.
