Wool stocks in West Texas fell to about 10,500,000 pounds as roughly 1,750,000 pounds sold at 12 to 26 cents per pound, averaging 22 to 23 cents. Last rites for Mrs Rowena Langford 41 wife of John Langford were held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Doran Funeral Chapel with Rev L C Beasley officiating and interment in Masonic Cemetery. She died Wednesday at noon on her farm near Carrizo Springs after several days illness and heart attacks. Born March 31 1894 in Tyler Texas she was granddaughter of Caleb Smith a noted Methodist preacher. She lived in Stamford and Sonora before moving to Del Rio over 20 years ago. She studied at the College of Industrial Arts in Denton. Surviving are husband John Langford two brothers Milton Smith El Paso and Ross Smith Washington D C a sister Miss Birdie May Pasadena Texas and other relatives. Pallbearers were I F Burditt W E Kilborn H L Molyneux Sam Draper W C Hodge and H P Carter.
