Mrs Susie Edwards sister of J G Smith of Quemada and formerly of Del Rio died Wednesday night at 10 45 oclock in Arlington. She resided at the Order of the Eastern Star home there and funeral plans were not yet made. Mrs Edwards formerly lived in Del Rio with her brother's family.

Del Rio experiences record weekly water demand as heat drives daily pumpings up. Wednesday’s usage reached 1,750,322 gallons with 150,000 to 200,000 gallons more than last week. Last summer, Del Ricans used about 10 percent less than this year.
