He received six months in county jail and a six dollar fine after being caught beating the woman with a belt buckle in a pasture east of the city. DeSpain also pleaded guilty to a related charge later that day.

Mayfield youths survive boat capsizing near upper dam

Girls Father Held After Boy Found Dead
The burned body of Eugene Farrar, 29, was found in a wrecked car near Dallas on Saturday days before his planned marriage to Irene Brewster 17. He had a fatal gunshot wound to the head and was left in the burning vehicle.
